Just 10 minutes from Lucca, in the special Valley of Vorno, is a small paradise called Casale Sodini. The 7 bedroom ancient Casale, originally used partially as a mill for the family and the few inhabitants of the village and part as a farmhouse, has been beautifully and painstakingly restored. The Casale, has no architectural pretences, is simple of lines, and the materials used in construction are those of the time; stone, hand-made bricks, timber beamed ceilings, terracotta floors, etc. The only exception to tradition has been the introduction of some modern-day creature comforts such as air-conditioning and Satelite TV.

The sprit of this villa, near a small village just outside Lucca, lies in it's absolute simplicity. Today even though the Mill wheel no longer turns, the timeless ancient atmosphere and the flavors are present.

Quite, silence and serenity are the philosophies of life that are offered here as Casale Sodini is brought back to life for your enjoyment. Here in the warm golden afternoons you can breathe these simple values of the past.
