Il Villaggio Amalfi Coast

Inside one of the biggest olive groves along the Peninsula of Sorrento lies this amazing luxury villa, featured in an issue of Architectural Digest, where all angles of every suite, all terraces, and the large infinity pool have incredible views.

The villa is located 5 minutes from the central square in the small hamlet of Sant Agata sui Due Golfi, lying high along the green slopes between the Gulf of Salerno and the Gulf of Naples, directly in front of the island of Capri.

The Villa, built during the 1950s, keeps a modern style. It lies on two floors and is surrounded by a garden area planted with small palm and olive trees and flowers. The villa offers an amazing terrace facing the sea and a large swimming pool with spectacular views extending from the green slopes of the Peninsula towards the island of Capri out along the Gulf of Naples. At night, guests can enjoy the thousands of lights that light up the entire Gulf of Naples. Il Villaggio is a perfect place to spend your time, whether you just want to relax and enjoy the wonderful terraces and pool or as a spectacular setting for a wedding celebrations or a memorable event. The villa has been enclosed all the way round and it has an electric entrance gate.

Terrace and pool area:
The swimming pool is set on a large terracotta and blue ceramic tile terrace, planted with lush flowers and Mediterranean plants in large terracotta pottery. The spectacular pool (30 feet long, 6 feet deep) has a separate area for children with shallow water as well as a hydro massage. The pool area features two outdoor showers built up with blue mosaic stones. The terrace and pool areas enjoy comfortable sun lounge chairs, large umbrellas, and good quality garden furniture allowing for maximum comfort, both day and night. One flight of steps leads from the garden and the pool, up to the main floor of the villa.

Main floor:
The main floor of the villa consists of a large living and dining room with large glass doors facing onto balconies and on the terrace. The lounge is entirely paved with colorful, hand painted tiles and has plenty of space for relaxing inside. The living room is furnished with comfortable sofas, lounge chairs, and tables. The dining area has a large wooden table and the lounge enjoying a flat screen satellite TV, computer with Internet connection, DVD player, and VCR. There is also an audio system throughout the living and dining area.

First floor:
This floor enjoys 5 comfortable and spacious junior suites with double beds. A small lounge area is furnished with a sofa, air conditioning, TV with flat screen, mini refrigerator, telephone, and safe box. Bedrooms feature luxurious en-suite bathrooms, each with Jacuzzi bathtub/shower. The first floor also offers spacious balconies viewing the garden or the pool area.

Basement Floor:
The basement level features 1 Junior Suite and 6 spacious double bedrooms with double beds. These bedrooms are similar to those found on the first floor - all bedrooms are very stylishly furnished and maintained in a style that recalls the colors found along the coast. The bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning, TV with flat screen, mini refrigerator, safe box and feature luxurious en-suite bathrooms, each with Jacuzzi bathtub and shower. This floor is connected to the ground level up a staircase or elevator and also enjoys direct access onto the garden/pool deck. This basement features small balconies facing the olive grounds with the sea in the background. Two large meeting rooms and a large, fully equipped industrial kitchen (used only by the staff) rounds out the basement level.

Access:
The villa has an electrically controlled gate and private entrance leading from the road up to the parking area and the main entrance of the villa. A flight of steps leads from the parking area up to the ground floor.

Housekeeping service:
Linens and towels are changed once or twice a week. Daily housekeeping service is included in the rental price. Breakfast is also included.
