L'Olive Amalfi Coast

Villa Olive lays in Anacapri, a 10-minute walk from the main square, near the shopping district and the famous Blue Grotto.

It is located in the suburban section of the characteristic area of the town of Anacapri known as Le Boffe, with its many ancient little houses and charming squares. The villa’s position allows you to enjoy fantastic views out over the Mediterranean and towards the islands’ most exclusive areas and private properties. L’Olive is immersed in lush, colourful Mediterranean vegetation, surrounded by gardens and terraces planted with olive trees and colorful flowers.

As soon as you enter the entrance gate, you are struck by the whiteness of the roof and its skylights, which give the villa an oriental-inspired appearance. The entire property, including the garden and all outdoor spaces, is situated on four levels. Villa Olive’s warm pink color, its columns, large windows and arches are all typical of the local architecture found throughout the island of Capri as well as its high vaulted ceilings and beautiful ceramic-tile pavement. The villa’s swimming pool is set on a garden terrace and its secluded location allows you to enjoy wonderfully undisturbed views.

First floor:
This level features a large, fully equipped kitchen, decorated with typical Neapolitan, handcrafted, ceramic tiles. It includes ovens, 8-range stovetop, large refrigerator and freezer. The dining area is furnished with a large tiled table and two wooden benches for comfortable seating. The laundry area has a washing machine and ironing facilities, although housekeeper is included in the rental. The first floor has a spacious double bed room with bed side tables and an antique wooden chest. A French glass door leads directly onto the terrace. Small studio with access to the lounge, furnished with a sofa. Very tastefully furnished, white lounge/living room with three sofas, armchairs and a large sofa seating 4 people, glass topped table and wooden writing desk. Decorative elements such as beautiful antique lamps, statues, seashells, vases, and porcelain create an intimate atmosphere while maintaining the villa’s warm, Mediterranean style. A large glass window looks out and opens onto the terrace. The lounge/living room has a telephone, fax and computer with Internet connection.

The villa’s former library has been renovated into a beautiful bedroom suite with arched ceilings and walls covered by walnut bookshelves, keeping its precious antique library look & style. This room features tiled en-suite bathroom with tub and window. French doors lead onto a covered terrace, overlooking the garden and the pool area, furnished with a wooden table and 2 chairs. There is also a third double bedroom. 18 steps down lead to the garden level. (First floor has 4 bedrooms, 3 ? baths. 3 of the double bedrooms can become twins).

Ground floor:
16 wooden steps lead down to the floor below divided into different rooms all leading to the terrace by French glass doors. The living area is furnished with a wooden table with 8 chairs and a sofa. The sleeping area consists in a comfortable and spacious double room with sofa and desk with chairs and separate sleeping area with double bed, bed side tables, chairs and wardrobe. There is an en suite bathroom with turquoise tiles and bathtub. The second bedroom is furnished with a sofa, chairs, wardrobe and 2 single beds (can be joined) with en-suite bathroom with blue tiles and wall shower.

Guesthouse:
The garden leads to the guesthouse, which holds to the same style and quality as the main villa. It includes a small living room with sofa, armchair, and small table. French doors lead out onto a small balcony. 2 double bedrooms (with single mattresses joined), small wicker wardrobe and chairs. Each room has a set of windows and the second bedroom enjoys French doors leading out to the garden. Tiled en-suite bathrooms with bathtub. 8 steps down to the pool deck.

Terrace/garden:
19 steps lead from the entrance level down to the main terrace, which is covered by wicker bamboo that creates a comfortable outdoor area, furnished with 2 armchairs and sofa, dining table and 6 chairs. The terrace views out over the pool and garden area with the Mediterranean as its backdrop. 17 steps lead down to the garden, paved with natural stone and planted with flowers. An old well with planted bougainvillea and various flowers lies at the center of the terrace. 21 steps take you directly to the pool area with a terrace equipped with a built-in barbecue (the depend?nce is located ? way between the garden and pool deck). The wonderful pool lies on a terrace paved with natural stone with comfortable lounge chairs.

Access: The villa is reachable by car or by walking about 10 minutes from the main square of Anacapri.
