Eden’s magnificent hall has marble stairs leading up to a gallery which leads into the lounge with its high pickled pine ceiling. Three sets of doors open up from the lounge onto a 1,200 square feet covered terrace with fantastic views of the Caribbean Sea and the pool and gardens. Dining takes place on a hand crafted ebony table which can seat up to twelve people on the covered upper terrace.

Sofas and easy chairs entice you to enjoy the views and wile away the evenings to the tropical sounds of whistling frogs with cooling breezes, aided by ceiling fans, creating the perfect temperature.

Main House
Master Bedroom
The Master Bedroom is a 480 sq feet room with a four poster draped king size bed and comfortable chairs. This room reflects a serene tranquility with its elegance and light. Double doors open onto the lower terrace. The room is air conditioned and has a ceiling fan to find the perfect overnight temperature as well as marble floors, keeping the heat to a minimum. Two large double wardrobes frame a dressing table. One of the wardrobes contains a safe deposit box.

The stunning en-suite bathroom has marble tiling throughout and high end fittings. It contains a large bath, double basins in a marble top, a water closet and a walk in double shower.

The Gazelle Room
Next to the lounge is the Gazelle Room which is a 230 sq feet double aspect bedroom with views of the ocean and garden and doors onto the balcony. The room is air conditioned and has a ceiling fan to find the perfect overnight temperature and cooling marble floors. This double bedded room is a favorite with guests with its hand painted chest of drawers, comfy armchair and a desk which enables you to catch up via the wireless network and still enjoy the view. The spacious en-suite bathroom has marble tiling throughout and high end fittings. It contains double basins in a marble top, a walk in shower and water closet. A large walk in dressing room provides plenty of hanging space and shelving and contains a safe deposit box.

The Green Monkey Room
The Green Monkey Room is a 230 sq feet double aspect bedroom with doors onto its own seating area with garden chairs and doors onto the lower terrace. The room is air conditioned and has a ceiling fan to find the perfect overnight temperature This twin bedded room is a favorite with our younger guests with its hand painted wardrobe, comfy chair and trunk.

The Coral Shell Room
The Coral Shell Room is a 230 sq feet double aspect bedroom with doors onto its own seating area with garden chairs and doors onto the lower terrace. This twin bedded room is very tranquil and contains a hand painted wardrobe, chest of drawers and comfy chair.

The Cottage
Furnished to the same high standards as the house, the cottage is a short walk across the pool deck from the house and consists of a lounge, bedroom, bathroom, and a small kitchen with a fridge, kettle and microwave.

The cottage lounge is a 200 sq feet dual aspect room with doors onto the garden and its own seating area and doors onto an area overlooking the pool. The room is air conditioned and has a ceiling fan. The room contains a sofa, which can convert into a bed, comfy chair, coffee table and armoire. The armoire contains a TV, multi-zone DVD player and CD player that has an iPod connection.

The cottage bedroom is a 200 sq feet dual aspect room with views onto the garden and doors onto its own seating area overlooking the pool. The room is air conditioned and has a ceiling fan to find the perfect overnight temperature. This twin bedded room has a rich colonial feel and contains a chest of drawers, wardrobes and desk and chair. One of the wardrobes contains a safe deposit box.

Features and Amenities

The lounge provides further sofas in elegant surroundings and, concealed within a custom built armoire, an entertainment centre. The 42 inch High Definition TV is perfect for watching movies through the multi-zone DVD player or catching up on world news or live sports events through the extensive satellite TV channels. The Denon hi-fi system produces a top quality sound and enables you to listen to music in the lounge and/or on the terrace. The wireless network router enables broadband internet access during your stay.

Outdoor Features

The Caribbean Sea may be only five minutes drive, but the lure of relaxing around the aqua green saltwater pool in a tropical garden takes some beating. The pool has been designed with leisure in mind and is between 4ft 6in and 6ft deep, perfect for cooling down, playing games and yet long enough to swim early morning lengths (if you must). Sun loungers and parasols have been strategically placed around the pool deck and there is heated Jacuzzi which is often enjoyed at night with a glass of Champagne.

The Gazebo is the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely lunch or an evening BBQ by the pool. Providing cooling shade, the Gazebo houses a circular table which seats six and an all important drinks fridge and ice maker.

The covered portico is the perfect location to sit or lounge in the shade under cooling ceiling fans or to take afternoon tea.
Covering just under an acre, our landscaped gardens contain a plethora of tropical plants, trees and fruit. The lawns and borders are irrigated daily using collected rainwater ensuring color even at the driest of times. Our fulltime gardeners take tremendous pride in their work leading to the Barbados National Trust inviting Eden to open to the public annually as part of the open gardens scheme. It is worth taking an early morning or late afternoon stroll to discover the flora and fauna.
Guests find fruit from garden such as bananas and figs making their way to the breakfast table at certain times of the year.

Staff and Services

Guests have membership of the Royal Westmoreland Beach Club at Mullins. The club is a ten minute drive from Sugar Hill and is considered to be one of the best swimming beaches on the west coast. The complimentary towels, beach chairs and umbrellas and the waiter service make this difficult to beat. For the active, there are water sports and the opportunity to be taken by boat out to swim with turtles or to another restaurant for lunch. Across the road from the beach, the Indulgence spa offers treatments to guests at preferential rates and times. The Spa also contains air-conditioned gym, swimming pool and a pool side food and beverage service.

• The chef arrives at around 8:30am to make you a leisurely breakfast and is available to cook lunch and dinner.
• The housekeepers will take care of your laundry and rooms, serve drinks and at mealtimes. They exude the warmth and hospitality that Barbados is renowned for. We make sure that our staff have one day off a week, usually a Sunday.
