The Great House Barbados

Simply one of the World's great Vacation rental properties! A 8 Bedroom Caribbean mansion directly on a beautiful stretch of white sand beach.

This beautiful beach front property on the West Coast of Barbados close to Speightstown in the parish of St.Peter, consists of a main House and 2 Chattel Houses accommodating 16 people. It is possible to accommodate up to 4 extra guests at an extra daily rate.

Guests are looked after with all their needs catered for by an excellent team of 14 staff that includes a House Manager, Executive Chef, Chef and kitchen Assistant designing menus for all tastes, ages, diet and nutritional requirements.

2 Highly trained Butlers who are as visible or invisible as guests require, who with recent cocktail training bring New York and London style to Barbados. They ensure that the guests are never bored, frequently changing dining areas and settings, accompanying guests on picnics and providing cold towels and drinks throughout the day, with afternoon tea in the gazebo and cocktails and canapes on the boardwalk.

3 Housekeepers, 2 Laundry and an available Seamstress on site. White Linen Toiletries are provided in all guest rooms. 2 Security Guards roam the property all night. 2 Gardeners tend the landscaped tropical gardens, keeping all areas including the beach and the boardwalk fresh and clean.

The boat man drives the 30ft Grady White motor boat called Sea Breeze which is available daily from 9am - 5pm Monday to Saturday. For water sports, other beaches for picnics, feeding the Turtles, snorkeling or shopping in Holetown or Bridgetown.

Children and Babies are welcomed, a cot, highchair, sterilizer and baby monitor is on site and we employ our preferred nannies as required.

Gym and Tennis Court facilities are available through our corporate membership at nearby Sugar Hill resort.The Great House employs highly trained masseuses, beauty therapistsand personal trainers as required for the guests personal Spa.

The Great House is able to cater for weddings and special events and will be launching Great House Catering in October which will enable us to provide exclusive catering in house and provide our level of service and food at other events and villas on the island.

In September the main areas of the house will be refurbished giving the house a lighter sexy chic feel of the Hamptons meets Barbados Beach!!

Great House guests rarely feel the need to leave the property - except by boat - and rarely desire to leave at the end of their stay, from the house that has enabled them to design their holiday and enjoy themselves with family or friends, as a spa or at a wedding, a special party A special holiday, theirs to enjoy.

  • 16 foot Hobie sailboat, & Sunfish sail boat

  • Young Chan grand piano and a box guitar
  • High speed ADSL internet access with wireless connection available to guests who bring their laptops

  • Good swimming in front of property, there is an area enclosed by buoys for safe swimming.

Bedroom Details

  • Description: There are 8 bedrooms. 4 bedrooms in main house - 3 have king size beds and Master bedroom has twin beds.
  • 4 bedrooms in chattel house cottages - 2 have twin beds and the other two have double beds.

  • Description: 9 Bathrooms. 8 en suite. All bathrooms have single vanities, tub/showers and hair dryers. Powder room located by pool bar.

Villa Notes

  • A minimum stay of 7 nights is required for all stays
  • Special rates apply for 14 nights minimum stay for Christmas, New Year and Special Holidays

Barbados Villa Notes

  • Most Barbados rental villas come with a full staff, consisting of cook, maid, and laundress. A private cook will prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner – meals that you choose based on your own personal tastes. Please inquire about staffing at your villa at the time of booking.
