Turtle's Nest Barbados

Turtle's Nest is a tastefully decorated wooden cottage with extensive beach frontage on the famous Mullins Beach.

There are two bedrooms, one at either end of the combined open-plan sitting room and kitchen. Both bedrooms have good sea views and the sitting room opens to a dining veranda and further seating which overlook the lovely Mullins Bay. The cottage is completely enclosed and sits amidst tropical gardens, there is also a sun terrace with lounge chairs. Conveniently located just south of the Suga Suga restaurant and spa facilites and a short drive to golf and tennis.

    My family and I just returned from 8 nights at "Turtle" Nest (as it is written in stone outside the road gate) and we did not want our vacation to end. It's difficult to describe the joy we experienced at Turtle Nest and Barbados in general in words. Perhaps the affirmation that "we will return" is enough said here. First of all, Bajan culture and people were the best experience -- warm, respectful, refined and genuine are just a few words to describe them. Secondly, the roadways are above par construction dotted with the most courteous and careful drivers in the entire Caribbean Basin. Thirdly, working with and booking through Villas Of Distinction was top-notch, friendly, caring and professional. And last but no way least, our caretaker/housekeeper/chef extraordinaire, Jasmine, not only became part of our family, but made the number one reason we want to return. In short, she was incredible -- and the entire experience of location and services was better than several other past holidays on neighboring southern Caribbean islands. It's difficult to find any cons to our stay at Turtle Nest. The only suggestions I would make are "feature requests" and are very minor... a microwave oven would make warming up late-night leftovers and kids snacks easier and the gate to the road needs a hole drilled for the rebar post (to keep the wind from occasionally blowing it open.) No biggies, just niceties. I hope Turtle Nest remains unspoiled and available for future years to come. We will be back... Rick Reid Dallas, TX
