Prieure St. Trophime is a wonderful, 7 bedroom, former priory dating from the late 16th century, set in 40 acres of gardens, meadows and parkland with magnificent views over the Luberon National Park. Garden paths lined with pomegranates, lavender, thyme and fragrant roses, shaded courtyards and parkland dotted with oaks and pines combine to create a truly wonderful setting.

The beautiful old buildings of this Vaucluse luxury holiday home have seen many changes throughout their history; from ownership by the Sade family, to use as a Benedictine priory, then a working farm. Like so many old rural buildings in Provence, the property was then largely abandoned and by the 1960s the buildings were completely dilapidated. Rescued from oblivion, the buildings have now been extensively renovated to provide the most luxurious of holiday retreats.

The local village of Fontaine de Vaucluse is known for its natural spring. The picturesque hilltop villages of Gordes, Roussillon, Bonnieux, M?nerbes, and Opp\'e8de-le-Vieux are within easy reach, as is the attractive antiques center of L'Isle sur la Sorgue. Near Gordes is the hauntingly beautiful Cistercian Abbaye de S?nanque, with its serene cloisters and sweeping lavender fields. Twenty minutes to the east is the fine hilltop chateau of Ansouis, with its terraced gardens, and further to the south are the elegant streets and squares of Aix-en-Provence. Avignon is less than an hour away from this Vaucluse luxury holiday home, renowned for its medieval city walls, fine museums and magnificent Palais des Papes, the largest gothic palace in the world.

First Floor: West wing via circular stone stairs:Double bedroom (1.80m), double height ceiling, ensuite dressing room and bathroom, WC. Double bedroom suite (1.60m), sitting/dressing room with open fireplace, ensuite bathroom, WC. North wing via secondary stone staircase: Double bedroom (1.80m 4 poster bed), ensuite bathroom, WC. Double bedroom (1.40m), ensuite bathroom, WC.
