Overview

GoldenEye overlooks the Caribbean Sea in the quiet village of Oracabessa Bay on Jamaica’s north coast.

Goldeneye is a 15-acre hideaway on a bluff between the sea and a lagoon. It offers you a choice of experiences from Ian Fleming's original house surrounded by luxuriant gardens, forest-shaded villas overlooking the sea, or the entire property with all 15 acres, the Fleming house and the villas available for a special occasion or event. It's the perfect choice for guests who value luxury, seclusion, romance and adventure.

Built by the novelist Ian Fleming as his Jamaican retreat, GoldenEye is where Fleming wrote all 14 James Bond novels. Today, GoldenEye is an award-winning Island Outpost hotel owned by Chris Blackwell, the Jamaica-raised founder of Island Records. Though built in 1949, GoldenEye reopened in 2010 following a two-year expansion. The hotel now encompasses Fleming’s original villa plus 11 Cottages and six Lagoon Suites, all with direct access to the sea. GoldenEye has two restaurants (bistro and fine dining), two pools and its signature FieldSpa with open-air treatment rooms. Sited on 52 stunning acres, GoldenEye is home to secret coves, breathtaking private beaches, tropical forests and a singular lagoon.

About Jamaica

Out of Many, One People

Jamaica is a great destination for everyone and every occasion. While many venture to Jamaica to tan and relax on the breathtaking beaches, there is also a plethora of activities to keep travelers busy.

Avid snorkelers and scuba divers will enjoy the beautiful coral reefs and exotic marine life. Coffee lovers will take pleasure in the delicious home-grown coffee from the famous Jamaican Blue Mountains, which are also ideal for hiking and horseback riding. Sightseers will want to climb the world-famous 600-foot-high Dunn's River Falls, and bird-lovers will enjoy the Rocklands Feeding Station, home to Jamaica’s 27 native species. Those who want to see beautiful sunsets should partake in the Jamaican tradition and head over to the famous Rick’s Cafe in Negril, where visitors will not only see magnificent sunset views, but also watch brave cliff-jumpers dive into the crystal-clear water.

A villa vacation in Jamaica is also unique in that many of our villas come with a full staff (chef, butler, housekeeper and laundress) included. The friendly staff will treat you with their “No problem, mon” service, where everything you desire is at your beck and call.
