Chateau in Provence - Les Jardins du Baron is a 15th century chateau in the beautiful Gard region of Provence

The grounds extend to 2 acres of formal gardens, woodland walks and parkland created by Baron d' Hombres Firmas in the 18th century.
The chateau in Provence has been in the same family since 1804 and has been lovingly maintained and restored through the years. It is well proportioned with high ceilings and large French windows creating light and space.

The hamlet of St Hippolyte de Caton has a village square and Mairie but no shops. The nearest village amenities are in Vezenorbes just 3 miles but there is a much wider choice in Ales, just 8 miles away.

Uzes was the first Duchy of France and has a wonderful cathedral. The stunning architecture of the Pont du Gard, a triple height aqueduct built by the Romans to deliver pure water to the baths and fountains at Nimes is a sight which should not be missed. The Gorge de l' Ardeche is one of Europe' s most beautiful landscapes with activites such as kayaking, rock climbing and hiking on offer. You may even choose to spend a day on the beach at the lovely Mediterranean port of Montpellier 38 miles south of this Chateau in Provence.
