Bastide Romantique is an eight bedroom, XIX century totally restored Mansion set near the town of Lacoste in the heart of Provence.

The village of LaCoste, which has unalterably been associated with Le Marquis de Sade's legend, still reflects its ancient origins with its paved streets, battlements, medieval castle and old XV century houses. The name of this Bastide can be found through XV century ancient texts. At the time, the history of the village of Lacoste is closely linked to the Vaudois people, who pursued by the inquisitors secretly meet here. Today, thanks to Pierre Cardin who has renovated its castle and created an outstanding festival, the village of Lacoste has found its real place among the touristy and cultural sites in Luberon. With its XIX century Mansion and its XV century Bastide, this real estate testifies of a historical period, shows the mark of a place and of a family who owned it for five centuries. In this house which compels respect, due to its genuineness, guests are being waited for. As for ones who know how to look at things, unfailing images will for ever remain in their minds. Nested in the middle of a six acre estate planted with fruit trees, vines, lavenders, almond trees, olive trees and evergreen oaks, one is in the heart of Provençal seasons which make one share their fragrances and fruit from March to October thanks to the generosity of the local climate. In this house, situated amid the shade of centenarian lime trees and oak trees, sophoras and cedar trees, one can safely enjoy sunshine and warmth. Comfortably settled near the overflowing swimming pool, you will choose how warm you want to be in order to enjoy fully every minute of the quietness and serenity of the place. The swimming pool can be heated on request at an additional cost. Depending on the time of the day, three terraces set out around the house allow you to take advantage of the ideal exposure to indulge in moments of intimacy. From the under wood where the "Pétanque" (Provençal game of bowls) ground is at your disposal; you can look down at the Vaucluse valley and tablelands.

You will discover all the charm of a XIX century totally restored Mansion with its high ceilings, mouldings, large volumes, its staircase and fire-places. Two qualities seem to prevail concerning the inner atmosphere: elegance and well-being.

GROUND FLOOR :

Whenever you wish to relax, two roomy and comfortable sitting-rooms ornamented with a fire-place allow you to appreciate early spring and autumn evenings. There is a TV with DVD, a large and elegant dining room with fully equipped kitchen and a laundry room that has outdoor access.

2nd and 3rd FLOOR :

8 Suites and each bedroom has a label of "junior suite" and is comprised ofan entrance hall, independent bathroom and toilets, each offer a safe. Whether they are high ceiling bedrooms on the first floor or attics on the second floor, they are fitted out and decorated with equal refinement with the sole purpose of making you comfortable. Individual air-conditioning that you can use and adjust according to your wishes, will allow you to sleep or rest peacefully during the hot summer nights.
