Domaine St De Remy - P044 Provence

This estate consists of three XVIII century mas (Provencal farm houses) located one kilometer from the center of Saint Remy de Provence.

Two of the mas, each with 6 bedrooms and pool are available for rent, the third is used by the owner and has separate access. All the houses have been totally refurbished with deluxe facilities and tasteful decorating, and are surrounded by 2.5 hectares of beautiful gardens featuring numerous varieties of roses, olive groves, lavender and huge plane trees. It is a perfect retreat for families or groups totaling up to 24 people

The estate has three XVIII century mas which until a few years ago, belonged to different owners. Now they are all part of the same property yet still independent, some 30 to 50 meters apart. Two houses are available for rent, the third house remains at the owner’s disposal and has its own separate access.

The Main House is a total of 400 m²

Ground floor

The very large living area is made up of three rooms (120 m² in total) and has satellite TV, DVD Player, CD player, Ipod docking station, Wireless Internet, fax machine and a fireplace,

The fully equipped large kitchen has a Falcon 110 stove, American style fridge with ice maker, steam oven, blender, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, Nespresso machine, steamer, wine cellar cupboard, fridge/freezer, juicer and back office.

There is a laundry with dryer and washer.

1st floor

The Master Bedoom is 70 m² with king size bed, TV, DVD, DVD, window screen, a large bathroom with shower and tub. Separate toilet, numerous wardrobes and a 30 m² terrace with magnificent view of the Alpilles and the gardens. This room has independent access via an exterior patio

Bedroom 2 is a beautiful room 25 m² with king size bed, TV, window screen, ceiling fan, large en-suite bathroom with tub, WC, and view of the gardens and fountain.

Bedroom 3 is 20 m², queen size bed, en-suite bathroom with tub, WC, window screen, A/C. It has a view of the gardens and fountain.

Bedroom 4 is a small bedroom at the north end of the house with a king size bed and separate bathroom with shower and WC.

2nd floor

Bedrooms 5 and 6 combine to form a suite with a shared bathroom with tub, shower and separate toilet. The main bedroom has a king size bed and ceiling fan, the other room with 3 single beds and A/C is ideal for children. All the bathrooms in the house have been modernized. The queen size beds can be configured as two singles.

Outside

There is a new, modern infinity swimming pool (17mx6m) finished in dark olive, overflowing into a 10m2 wading area(20cm deep), and a Jacuzzi with counter-current swimming. The pool area is surrounded by olive trees and has a lovely view of the mas and rose gardens.

There is a large(100m2 with 6m high ceiling) covered outdoor living area with huge (2.2m) Provençal fireplace, double wooden table that seats 24, a fully equipped summer kitchen, shower, WC and BBQ. Three immense forged iron archways separate this space from the swimming pool. There is a French garden, a pond with fountain, lavender and a spectacular arbor leading to the patio.

The Guest house is 550 m²

Ground floor

An entry hall with separate WC leads to the living room with fireplace and a large library of books, DVDs and music.

The main kitchen has a 110cm oven, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso, food processor etc. The back kitchen has a North American style fridge, large sink, washing machine dryer, wine fridge and ironing board

  • Bedroom 1 has a queen size bed (180cm) and bathroom with bath, shower, WC and double sink
  • Bedroom 2 has a queen size bed and bathroom with bath, shower, WC, double sink and a dressing room.

First floor

  • Bedroom 3 has a double bed (160cm) and an Italian shower, double sink and WC, and connects to a small children’s bedroom with a large cupboard.
  • Bedroom 4 has a queen size bed (180cm), a large cupboard and bathroom with bath, shower, WC and double sink. It connects to another children’s bedroom with a separate WC.
  • Bedroom 5 has a queen size bed, a large cupboard and bathroom with bath, shower, WC and double sink.
  • Bedroom 6 has a mezzanine and can be provided with 2 single beds or a queen or a king size bed. It has a bathroom with shower, WC and double sink and is an excellent space for children, a playroom or general storage.

There is also a recreation area with a sauna with chromo therapy, some exercise machines, a ping pong table, a shower and WC. All the queen beds can be configured as two twins. The house is equipped with air conditioning, Wifi and international TV channels.

Outside

There is a basin style pool(13mx4m) with jacuzzi jets in one corner and 12cm thick natural stone decking. The pool can be heated on request. There is a shower and WC.

  • Saint Remy is the most famous village of the Alpilles, where quiet cafes and restaurants line the small street of the 'center of the village'
  • Saint Remy is very close to Avignon ( 18 kms ) which enjoys 300 days of sunshine per year, well-known for festival theater, art galleries, many cultural events and restaurants.
  • The Alpilles is also famous for olive oil and vineyards.
  • Situated between Luberon, Camargue and Cevennes
  • Saint Remy is also known for its easy accessibility, thanks to the TGV station in Avignon (15 mn ) and the Marseille International Airport (50mn )
