Le Manoir d'Avignon occupies 250 acres of an island on the Rhone River, a stones throw from the famous Papal city of Avignon in the heart of Provence. The property is covered in orchards and fields and is still in active production. Within fifteen minutes are the cities of Avignon and Orange with their architectural treasures and music and theater festivals. Within half an hour are two golf courses, eight one-star restaurants (Avignon itself has three.) There are wonderful places to visit, including the Pont du Gard, Uzes, St. Remy de Provence, and Isle-sur-la- Sorgues with its 200 antique dealers. An hour drive brings into range three two-star restaurants, a host of added one-stars, the hill towns of the Alpilles and the Luberon, Arles, and Aix-en-Provence. All of this is in the midst of some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.
The manor house and the adjacent nineteenth-century guest house were completely and luxuriously refurbished in 2003 in highly refined French country style. The 1500 sq. ft. main salon has a 40-foot ceiling and a beautiful, sweeping staircase rising to an 800 sq. ft. mezzanine, containing a wet bar with seating, an American billiard and a communications center with telephone, fax and dedicated internet. The library, under the mezzanine, is a quiet place with a monumental 17th- century fireplace and a large collection of French and English books and CDs. Two-foot-thick stone walls keep the space cool, even in hot summer days. Graceful, vaulted openings provide wonderful illumination and glorious views. A corridor leads from the living room to an adjacent complex containing a winter salon, a second communications center, dining room, kitchen, and laundry area. All the rooms on the ground floor as well as the mezzanine have heated floors. The kitchens in both the manor and guesthouse are American-style.
The main house has five luxurious double bedrooms (one with king-size bed, two with queen-size beds and two with twin beds) with air conditioning/heating, and full bathrooms. The guesthouse has another two bedrooms (both with full-size beds). Furnishings in all bedrooms combine French antique furniture and Provençal fabrics with comfortable beds imported from the United States.
TWO RENTAL OPTIONS:
1. Full service with Chef, year round, and
2. Full service (without Chef), all year except in July and August.

1.Rental with full service and Chef (Staff of Four)
This option is mandatory from May thru October, This is by far the best way to fully enjoy the five-star treatment we offer to our clients!
Our permanent staff of four is at the service of the guests six days a week (Sunday is off unless pre-arranged.). The chef prepares four lunches and four dinners per week on the guests' chosen days. Based on our shopping list the client will have selected all the errands needed prior to his arrival.On the day of arrival the client is offered a complimentary champagne cocktail party. We recommend that the client order a dinner to be served at the Domaine on his day of arrival. Picnics can be prepared and excursions organized at the client’s request. Breakfast is ready every day as of 8:30 am.The two chambermaids clean the Manoir every day and serve the guests at breakfast, lunch and dinnertime.The handyman/gardener cleans the swimming pool and the terraces every day.
2. Rental with Full Service-No Chef (Staff of Three)
This option is not available in July and August. Under this option the handyman and two full time chambermaids are available to serve the patrons. All the rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms of the Domaine are cleaned every day (except Sunday) and the staff sets the table and cleans the kitchen after each meal prepared by the client. The rental price with full service and no chef is on request.
