Simiane - P933 Provence

This magnificent property is located in Haute Provence, at 2km from the village of Simiane la Rotonde perched high on a hill surrounded by fields of lavender, between Forcalquier and the Luberon.

This family property is situated on an 83-hectare (200-acre) of land and can accommodate 28 people with its 8 double bedrooms and its 2 children loft with 6 single beds in each one. There is a fully equipped summer kitchen with BBQ and HiFi music. Outside there is Garden Furniture, a Tennis Table, a Swing, and a tennis court. There are also 6 VTT bikes available.

1st Level :

The 1st level leads though the entrance hall with 3 Salons with a fireplace, a sofa, a Satellite TV, a DVD, a library and a dining room. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, a refrigerator, a freezer, a dishwasher and a professional cooker. There is also a large winter veranda with a fireplace and a BBQ. The cellar is accessible from the 1st level.

2nd Level :

The 2nd level faces the East side and has 4 double bedrooms. The first bedroom has 2 single beds (=l king size bed) and its own bathroom with toilets and shower. The 2nd has 2 single beds and its own bathroom with shower and toilet. The 2 others with 2 single beds and basin share a large bathroom with tub, shower, and toilets.

On the west side is 2 large lofts for kids, one is for a boy and one is for a girl. It also can be convenient for single adults with 6 single beds and bathroom in each one.

3rd level :

On the 3rd level are 2 double bedrooms. Bedroom #5 has 2 single beds and its own bathroom with shower and toilet and Bedroom #6 has 2 large single beds and its own bathroom with tub and toilet.

At the back of the swimming pool in a former dovecote an independent double bedroom. This bedroom has 2 single beds which can be connected for a king size one. There is one bathroom with a shower and toilet. This bedroom is Wheelchair accessible. Upstairs there is another independent bedrooms with 2 single beds (=l king size bed) with its own bathroom with toilet and shower. The 2 children loft can be 2 suitable double bedrooms.

There is staff at the disposal of the clients during their stay. There are three different housewives working a full time job and available to :

  • take care of the rooms and bathrooms, cleanliness of the house
  • always at least one available to cook and do the wash in the evening or on Sunday
  • there is no service at the table, they dress it and just bring everything on it until 11pm
  • food and beverage are not included except normally the first diner at their arrival + the first breakfast
  • shopping for food and beverage is normally made by the client, however they can make the shopping for them will be a supplement of about 100€/shopping + price and tax for food and beverage.
  • The price includes the morning shopping at the bakery by the guardian

Location Details

  • Located an hour away from Aix-en-Provence or Avignon, Simiane-la-Rotonde, the "city of character", is regarded as being one of the loveliest hill-top villages in Haute Provence. Thanks to its high altitude (600-700 m), the village folk are able to enjoy some cool respite from the blazing hot summer sun. It is said the sun shines 300 days a year, a claim that appears to be supported by the installation of telescopes at the Observatory of St. Michel.

  • 9km from Banon, a small village made famous by its tasty goats cheese delicately wrapped in a dried cedar leaves and tied with a raffia ribbon. Avignon TGV Station : 75km
