OTO- Commanding an enchanting view over the almost virginal beach of Gouverneur and the clear crystalline water of the Caribbean Sea: this is the exceptional location of villa OTO, a rare jewel of St. Barthelemy. The absolute peace and quiet, hardly any other buildings in the vicinity, the only melody in the distance is the sound of the waves breaking on the beach down below and the birds flying freely in the blue sky. The panorama of Gouverneur s cove has stayed unchanged and is the same as it was more than 30 years ago, quite a feat and a delicious exception on the island. Modern architecture, sober and pure, straight cut, geometric lines and curves. Finest materials: marble, sand stone, mahogany and stainless steel in the kitchen, teak decks and terraces: harmonious and elegant colors, black, brown, white and beige. For the decor, unique pieces were designed by Otto Kern himself for this villa, such as the baroque chairs made of leather and zebra skin. And the mosaic bottom of the pool using sheets of fine gold, representing an oriental carpet and literally illuminating the concrete pool. The kitchen, reminiscent of a yacht, opens onto a lounge style living room with a table consisting of two rectangles that, according to the mood, can be transformed into a large square or two separate tables for 6, 8 or 12 guests. Extending from this reception area is a large outside living space on the terrace which seems, quite literally, to plunge into the vast turquoise sea and the emerald Caribbean under the benevolent eye of a large Buddha and a Wellman painting. From the huge colonial four-poster beds, the two upstairs bedrooms have an incredible view of the sea, while the ground floor is a permanent invitation to come and taste the joys of the pool surrounded by the wild scenery of the uninhabited hillsides. The villa is all about flawless purity and the rugged beauty of the island which allows us to experience the supreme luxury: space. A rare exception of sheer delight.

Terrace

Large terrace surrounding the pool with deckchairs and gas grill. Offers a splendid ocean view above Gouverneur beach. Well-exposed to the sun. Second terrasse at the fitness room level. Very private with lounge chairs and surrounded by nice garden. A new third terrasse is being made for the 2010-2011 season. 70 square feet of large deck with comfortable lounge area and shade.

Dining Room

Ceiling Fan Upstair dining room with 2 wooden tables for 6 people each. Shares the room w/ living room and kitchen, facing the view.

Ceiling Fan , DVD Player, Flat Screen TV, Stereo, WiFi Upstairs: comfortable off-white sofas with ocean view. Downstairs: has AC, opens to pool, facing the view with large off-white comfortable sofas.
