St. Remy St. Lucia

St. Remy is a restored estate house which is about 150 years old. The house is situated high in the hills in a small estate.

The gardens surrounding the house are fully landscaped and are an excellent example of a truly lush and colorful Caribbean garden. The house is a good example of Caribbean architecture from the past centuries and has the typical scrubbed wooden floors and a verandah, which encircles the house on three sides.

There are 2 double bedrooms with four poster beds. 1 bathroom and 1 shower room. A sitting/dining room, furnished in the old fashioned style proper to the house. There is a small guest cottage, which on application may be available for rental.

The pool is spectacularly situated on the hillside in its own sun deck.St. Remy is located near the town of Soufriere. Soufriere is the third town of St. Lucia. It is a two-hour drive from Castries and an hours drive from Hewanorra Airport. The drive-in volcano, the health-giving mineral baths, and the scenic Pitons are all situated in the Soufriere area. Anse Chastanet, a nearby beach, is renowned for its excellent snorkeling.

Staff Details

  • Cook - Your friendly and skillful cook will be available each day from 8am until 5pm to prepare your meals. Please let us know in advance of any of your special dietary needs and your housekeeper can be ready to accommodate them. Your maid will attend your rooms and do laundry whenever you wish.
  • Gardener/Night Watchman - George
  • George and his dog are the dutiful watchmen at St. Remy and will be on-call 24 hours a day. They live in a cottage on the St. Remy property within calling distance of the main house.
  • George is also a true landscape artist, keeping the grounds beautiful and flowers in constant bloom throughout the year

  • Please add a 10% surcharge for stays during the Jazz Festival, usually the 1st and 2nd week of May. Please inquire for details.

St. Lucia Villa Notes

  • All St. Lucia villa bookings for travel January 1, 2013 and beyond will be subject to a Value Added Tax. Unfortunately, this tax amount is yet to be determined. All bookings confirmed for travel beyond January 1, 2013 will be subject to this tax once the amount is determined by the government.
