General Terms & Conditions
Reservations
A deposit equal to 50% of the total is required within seven business days to confirm your reservation ( some destinations such as Italy require deposits within 3 days ). Final payment is due 90 days prior to departure. This may differ from destination to destination and during Holiday periods
Cancellations
Cancellation penalties can differ broadly from destination to destination. Generally speaking the minimum cancellation penalties are as follows: all cancellations are subject to a minimum charge of $100 per person. Cancellations received 90 days or less prior to departure are Non-Refundable. We strongly urge you to take Trip Cancellation Insurance. Rentals for France, Portugal, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, St. Barts and certain villas in St. John are non-refundable at all times. Christmas bookings are also non-refundable. Please check at point of booking for exact cancellation penalties for your rental.
Security and Damage Deposits
Security and Damage deposits vary from destination to destination and from villa to villa. Generally speaking, most villas ask for a $500 refundable deposit. Some larger villas ask for $1,000, especially the larger villas in Europe. The deposits are refunded in 30 - 90 days depending on several factors including, but not limited to local telephone billing cycles. We expedite the refunds of deposits as best we can.
Occupancy by the Numbers
No parties, weddings or large gatherings allowed in the villas without written permission. Villas may not be occupied by more guests than specified in the rental contract. Rates are based on occupancy and additional fees may apply.
Tax & Service Charges
Each destination has a tax and or service charge. It varies from island to island, and even sometimes from property to property. Sample prices are in U.S. Dollars and do not include taxes or services charges unless otherwise noted. Price does not include a non-refundable $49 processing fee.

Responsibility
VILLAS OF DISTINCTION acts only as agents for accommodations and assumes no responsibility for property loss or damage, nor liability for injury, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason or defect in any vehicle or the acts of any company or persons engaged in conveying the passengers to or from their accommodations. If for any reason beyond its control including force majeure, or the sale of the house, VILLAS OF DISTINCTION is forced to cancel the booking made by the client or his agent, best efforts will be made to offer another property of equivalent standard with which the client will be in agreement. If the price of the alternative property is less, the difference will be refunded to the client, but if the price is higher the client must pay the difference. If however, no agreement can be reached, both parties are entitled to cancel. VILLAS OF DISTINCTION will refund to the client only the rental price paid; no other amounts will become due.
Airlines
Airlines used are stated in the Creative Leisure’s literature. Each Passenger is subject to the ticket terms and/or rules established by the airline. In all cases, Passengers are subject to the carrier’s as well as governmental rules and regulations. Flight delays and rescheduling are unfortunate, but are an inherent risk of all air travel and are completely outside the control and responsibility of Creative Leisure. Creative Leisure acts only as an agent for the airlines and other transportation companies in arranging to provide the services and accommodations included in your vacation package. Creative Leisure and the airline reserve the right to substitute any duly licensed air carrier and/or to change the aircraft type, capacity, and routing, and do not guarantee single plane or non-stop service for these changes. No refunds will be given for such substitutions or changes.

Alaska Airlines
Alaska Airlines has announced a new checked baggage policy effective for tickets purchased on or after May 1, 2008, for travel on or after July 1, 2008. This policy applies to domestic travel. Customers may check one bag for free and a second bag for a $50 USD fee ($100 USD round-trip). The fee may be higher depending on weight and dimensions of the baggage. View Policy....>>
American Airlines
American Airlines has announced a new checked baggage policy effective for tickets purchased on or after June 15. This policy applies for travel within the U.S. the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Canada. Customers may check one bag for a $15 USD fee ($30 USD round-trip) and a second bag for a $25 USD fee ($50 USD round-trip). The fee may be higher depending on weight and dimensions of the baggage. Delta Airlines
Delta has announced a new checked baggage policy for domestic tickets traveling on or after May 1, 2008. This policy applies to domestic travel. Customers may check one bag for free and a second bag for a $25 USD fee ($50 USD round-trip). The fee may be higher depending on weight and dimensions of the baggage. The fee will be charged to passengers if their itinerary includes segments after May 1 regardless of when the tickets were purchased. Note: SkyMiles Elite, and First/Business Class passengers are not impacted by this policy change. Please check the carriers web site for detailed information.
United Airlines
United has announced a new checked baggage policy for nonrefundable domestic economy tickets that were purchased on or after February 4 for travel on or after May 5, 2008. This policy applies to travel within the United States, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and Canada. Customers may check one bag for free and a second bag for a $25 USD fee ($50 USD round-trip). US Airways
US Airways has announced a new baggage policy for tickets purchased on or after February 26 for travel on or after May 5, 2008. The new policy applies to all flights within the United States, to/from Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe. Customers may check one bag for free and a second bag for a $25 USD fee ($50 USD round-trip). The fee may be higher depending on weight and dimensions of the baggage.
