Cardinale Tuscany

Villa Cardinale is a 4 bedroom, elegant period house set on a hillside in the charming, Lucchese countryside.

The splendid city of Lucca, situated in the north of Tuscany, is famous for its elegant period houses built over a span of four centuries in some of the most pleasant areas of the Lucchese countryside and the arc of hills which surround the plain of Lucca. Villa Cardinale is an excellent example of one of these villas. In the 17th century it was the residence of the Cardinal from which the villa takes its name. Renting a luxurious villa such as this offers one a unique opportunity to enjoy a holiday marked by elegance, relaxation, total privacy and excellent service, all in an environment rich in charm and history.

The villa has been superbly restructured, all the rooms have period furnishings, flanked by the modern comforts of television, satellite and internet. The internal beauty and elegance of the villa is harmoniously balanced with the external space which is made up of a stunning and beautifully-kept park with a garden, ancient trees, multicoloured flowers and a small patio. Situated at the highest part of the park, is a swimming pool equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas. The park also extends to the back of the villa where there is an area fitted out with tables and chairs for splendid meals 'al-fresco'.

Villa Cardinale offers a full-time staff to prepare breakfast every day and one meal a day, six days a week. The property is taken care of by a couple; the lady is an excellent cook and the man is available for shopping service and to run general errands. In addition, the villa staff include a gardener and a waitress. The majority of the staff do not live in the villa, in fact only the waitress lives on-site in her own apartment which is situated in an isolated part of the property. Privacy is therefore guaranteed.

The villa, featured in the best editions of Lucchese Villa Books, is located only few kilometers from both Lucca and Pisa. In addition the famous coastal resorts of Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi are within easy reach, just 20 minutes by car.
