Villa Clara is a typical ten bedroom Manor villa with its own small formal park and chapel, at the center of one estate. Can also be rented as a 6 bdrm villa.

Villa Clara is a beautiful ten bedroom villa built at the end of the 18th Century. It is a typical Manor villa with its own small formal park and chapel, at the center of one estate with farmhouses where the farmers looking after the winery used to live.

It is located just 4km from Lucca, thus combining proximity to the town of Lucca with the peace and beauty of the surrounding countryside.

The villa has been totally converted during the last couple of years and has been fully furnished in an elegant style. It can accommodate groups of up to 20 people, with all bedrooms (except one) having their own bathroom.

A new swimming pool (15x7m) has been installed in a panoramic position a short walk from the house.

There is also a private chapel on the estate where weddings can be performed and celebrated.

Ground Floor: Huge dining room opening via French windows both onto the front and back garden,traditional Tuscan-style kitchen, biliard room andsmall sitting room.

First Floor: 2 double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom with shower only,double bedroom and twin bedroom sharing a bathroom (shower only),large sitting room.

Second Floor: 2 double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom (shower only),3 twin bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (1 shower only and 2 with bath and separate shower), double bedroom with en-suite bathromm (shower only) also included.

  • Due to limited transportation in outlying and rural areas, a rental car is essential for stays at countryside villas in Italy. We are more than happy to arrange a car for you during your stay, please just let us know at time of booking.
  • Please note that Italy villas rent from Saturday to Saturday. Exceptions may be possible on a case by case basis and upon request.

    AMAZING!!! Villa Clara is beautiful, homey, VERY clean ... great way to end our European vacation. We traveled to Paris for five days, then Rome for 5 days (tremendous amount of walking...) then ended our vacation at Villa Clara. The location in Lucca's green countryside was wonderful. Loved the gardens and pool - the pool being a must if traveling in the summertime as it was very hot and humid. We rented all 10 bedrooms (14 traveling in our family group and met up with friends making a total of 20 people). The villa was very clean with all modern amenities. The beds were of course "European" so they weren't soft and comfy - but weren't bad. There is no air conditioning but there were fans in every room. There are three floors, the upper rooms did get very warm. Anna was awesome and every friendly (doesn't speak any English though) - there were even welcome snacks upon our arrival! We did use the option of having dinner cooked for us one night - which was also amazing. It is close enough, however to visit Florence, Cinque Terra, Pisa and other cities for day trips - which we did take advantage of. You will need a rental car. We felt the price was good - especially when compared to hotels that don't have half as many amenities. We took advantage of having a kitchen, making a lot of our meals there and saving quite a bit of money. Our one week stay was very positive - we had no complaints whatsoever. Would definitely recommend this villa to couples or families who want a bit of a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the cities and are looking for a quiet relaxed atmosphere.
