Villa Gaia is a strikingly beautiful and secluded four-floor villa in the heart of Chianti, only 20 minutes from Siena.

It is a luxurious and extremely sophisticated dwelling. The villa, owned for centuries by an Italian aristocratic family, is encircled by spectacular gardens, offering incredible views of the surrounding countryside. Dating back to the year 1400, it was recently restored with extreme care. The villa is 16,000 square feet and the annex is 4,800 square feet.

Multiple outdoor sitting and dining areas. Gardens, patios and recreational facilities are all carefully designed to provide maximum privacy from the house. Tennis court, swimming pool (16 x 8 meters) and whirlpool, sauna, changing room and two bathrooms, plus an outdoor (cold-water) shower and barbecue. Riding and golf facilities nearby.

This villa is one of the finest private villa for rent in Tuscany offering breathtaking views and is ideal for large groups. Convenient location between Florence and Siena. Optional services offered at Villa Gaia include guided tours to the most important wine-cellars in Tuscany, golfing, mountain bike tours and orchestral musical entertainment. The villa stocks an excellent selection of Tuscan and Umbrian wines and will purchase specific labels at the client's request.

Staff Details

  • Full staff included 6 days per week (pre-determined hours are set). For groups larger than 25 guests, extra staff is required: €10 per hour/per staff member.

Tuscany Villa Notes

  • Due to limited transportation in outlying and rural areas, a rental car is essential for stays at countryside villas in Italy. We are more than happy to arrange a car for you during your stay, please just let us know at time of booking.
  • Please note that Italy villas rent from Saturday to Saturday. Exceptions may be possible on a case by case basis and upon request.
  • The Italian government has implemented a Visitor’s Tax of €1.50 per person per day and applies to all overnight stays for the first seven days in the destination. This tax is payable to the local property manager.
