The current owners have recently restored this outstanding 7 bedroom villa, together with the adjacent farmhouse, to a very high standard. Both houses date from the sixteenth century, retaining all their historic features as a true Tuscan idyll. Nonetheless, sufficient coziness and comfort, combined with modern technology has been introduced to satisfy almost every twenty-first century requirement. A computer connected to an ISDN line is at clients disposal in the guest house.

Villa Igea will be ideal for discerning groups, who appreciate high quality comfort in a secluded environment. The property is set in a quiet location, high in the hills northwest of Lucca. A very well maintained garden surrounds the house and, on one side, a big centuries-old oak tree provides a shady area, perfect for al fresco meals. The views overlooking the surrounding countryside and the valley below are spectacular.

The owners have kept two farmhouses on the same estate for their own use, about 80 meters from the villa. They will use them occasionally, but in no way do they encroach on their client's privacy.

The property is situated in one of Italy's acclaimed olive oil producing regions. Naturally it has its own olive grove, producing fine organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil under its own label.

Ground Floor: Entrance hall; sitting room with fireplace, opening to the garden; small sitting room with fireplace and TV; dining room; kitchen opening on to a conservatory; breakfast room opening on to outdoor dining area; two twin bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.

First Floor: Twin bedroom suite with sitting/dressing room and en-suite bathroom; twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom.

Guest House: accommodating 5 people

Ground Floor: Sitting room; kitchen/dining room; single bedroom with en-suite bathroom.

First Floor: Twin bedroom suite, with dressing room and study, and en-suite bathroom; twin bedroom with private bathroom.

  • Please note that Italy villas rent from Saturday to Saturday. Exceptions may be possible on a case by case basis and upon request.
