The view from this property is just amazing as it overlooks two valleys; the Val di Chio and the Valdichiana. Both are rich in history with beautiful fields of olives, wheat and sunflowers.
The property is located only a couple of miles from the Etruscan town of Castiglion Fiorentino which was a fundamental connection between Arezzo and Cortona in the ancient times. From here you can reach the most popular locations in Tuscany and Umbria. The scale of Il Poggiolo make it ideal for a family who want to relax in a private setting, but at the same time visit Tuscany and Umbria.
The road to reach the property is in excellent condition. A wooden gate welcomes you to the property and after a short drive you will reach the villa which is just adjacent to the owner’s home. As you enter onto the ground floor there is a rustic kitchen equipped will all the modern essentials. Just beside the kitchen is a large living room with a fireplace and a rich English library. On the same floor there is also a guest bathroom with a shower and one double room. On the first floor there are two twin bedrooms with one shared bathroom that has a shower. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom that offers a bathtub.
The best part of this property is the absolutely gorgeous garden that surrounds it. Olive trees, cypress trees and numerous flowers make you want to spend the entire stay outside. There is also a beautiful stone BBQ & oven where you can experience the pizza or the “Fiorentina” steak. The large pool is adjacent to the patio and has a spectacular view of the Tuscan valleys. The owners of the villa live in a house just beside Il Poggetto, they are lovely people and are always available to help you anytime you need.

- Please note that Italy villas rent from Saturday to Saturday. Exceptions may be possible on a case by case basis and upon request.
- The Italian government has implemented a Visitor’s Tax of €1.50 per person per day and applies to all overnight stays for the first seven days in the destination. This tax is payable to the local property manager.
