La Casa at Castello di Casole Tuscany
With views in every direction, La Casa is surely one of the great homes in all of Tuscany.
The first villa along the country road leading to the Castello, Casale La Casa, offers the first enticing glimpse of the restored farmhouses. Its pool reaches off the hilltop into a vineyard and a stately lane leads to the compound of primary and guest residences. With views in every direction, especially over rolling countryside to the southeast, this neighbor to the Castello is surely one of the great homes in all of Tuscany. The residence is large, and comfortably accommodates 8-10 family members and friends.
The La Casa main residence is organized around a long, open living area with exposed stone walls subtly sectioned off by arched doorways and windows. It is airy and open, yet very intimate. The textures are rich with barrel vaulted ceilings, wood beams, and travertine floors. At La Casa, the main residence is complemented by two beautiful guest homes, which share a common courtyard leading to the infinity-edge pool whose ledge disappears off the hilltop over the vineyards below.
La Casa is approached from the main country lane leading to the Castello, which itself is a pleasant stroll up through the cypress-lined ascent to the hotel and spa complex. The entry is along an impressive drive overlooking the vineyards and olive groves that surround the residences.
The entry to the main residence at La Casa is through a beautiful covered arched walkway with a large Tuscan-style fireplace. This large open room is accented with stone pillars and arched ceiling accents. La Casa is distinguished by its open kitchen, with one entire wall comprised of panoramic northeast-facing windows – cooling in summer, warming in winter. Arched windows flank both sides of the kitchen. In the kitchen are a hand-carved marble sink, magnificent DeManincor gas and wood-burning stove and Gianfranco Ballerini refrigerators.
A unique indoor / outdoor stairway leads to two master suites upstairs. On the second floor leading into the bedrooms is a large covered and enclosed arched walkway – and a beautiful sitting room with views uphill to the Castello. Both suites afford complete privacy and long views of the countryside. Master baths are of course always works of art, with separate areas for shower and deep soaking tubs and doublevanities. Bisazza Mosaic tile work; Axor and Philippe Stark fixtures. One of the master suites feature a fireplace, small sitting room below and full bath up a short staircase.
Guest Residence One
These very spacious and comfortable quarters offer a stunning view of the countryside across the vineyards. The principal living space is dominated by a massive arched window wall. Behind the sitting area is a master suite and an equally impressive bath, with freestanding tub, open shower, double vanity toilet and bidet. As for your fortunate guests, they may never leave these stunning quarters.
Guest Residence Two
Guest Residence Two welcomes with a quaint sitting area and large bath at the entry. Downstairs are another sitting are and master bedroom. Its private garden overlooks the vineyards. A most intimate and serene setting from which you get to take in the wonder of Tuscany.
