This is a beautiful 4 bedroom farmhouse situated high in the hills north-east of Lucca, above the village of Marlia.

From the property, there are spectacular views over the surrounding countryside, with its olive groves, and also of the most famous historical villas of Lucca, and their magnificent parks, on the plain below. These include Villa Grabau and Villa Reale, where Elisa Bonaparte Baciocchi, Napoleon's sister and Princess of Lucca, resided.

The stone-built house has been tastefully restored to a very high standard, in total respect of Tuscan tradition, retaining the original beamed ceilings and using antique cotto floor tiles. The interiors have been furnished in a very attractive country-house style.

Ground Floor: Large kitchen/dining room with open fireplace, opening onto courtyard; sitting room with fireplace, opening onto the garden; bathroom with walk-in shower; laundry room and pantry.

First Floor: Sitting room with fireplace, opening to terrace with stairs leading to the garden; twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom (bath and shower); twin bedroom with four-poster beds; twin bedroom; bathroom with walk-in shower.

Second Floor: Double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (walk-in shower), small sitting room and kitchenette

  • Please note that Italy villas rent from Saturday to Saturday. Exceptions may be possible on a case by case basis and upon request.
