Poggetto Tuscany

Poggetto, located near Siena, is a typical Tuscan farmhouse situated on a hilltop at the end of an alley of beautiful cypress trees.

The house has recently been carefully restored to include every modern comfort while maintaining the characteristics and personality of the region.

The ground floor features an entrance hall, spaciously elegant living room, and a pleasant study room that can be used as an office. A second living room, complete with a traditional Tuscan fireplace, waits on the upper floor. The villa has a comfortable fully equipped kitchen that has direct access to the veranda for outdoor dining. The garden is accessible via most rooms on the ground floor, while the terrace offers an amazing view of the Tuscan landscape and access to the swimming pool just below the house.

The house features seven bedrooms, one on the ground floor and six on the upper floor. The bedroom on the ground floor has an en suite bathroom with shower. Of the four bathrooms upstairs, two feature a shower, two feature a tub.

Poggetto is the ideal house for large groups who appreciate privacy and sense of style. The villa has been featured in magazines, including Architectural Digest, Casa & Country, and Spazio Casa.

Bedroom Details

Ground Floor: 1 king/twin bedroom with direct access to gardens and en suite bathroom with shower.
First Floor: 1 twin and 1 queen bedroom share spacious bathroom with travertine shower stall. 1 twin bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower. 2 twin bedrooms share private bathroom with travertine shower stall. 1 twin with private master bathroom (double sink) and tub with handheld shower.

Living Spaces

Ground Floor: Large entry, spacious living room, fully-equipped eat-in kitchen with access to enclosed outdoor-dining loggia, study, and dining room.
First Floor: Spacious living room with traditional Tuscan fireplace, mini-fridge and entertainment area.

OUTSIDE FEATURES:

  • Extensive furnishings for dining al fresco— large marble dining table in a shaded area and umbrella table in garden.
  • Large pool (7 1/2 x 15 m) with covered sitting/dining area in an area set off from the house.
  • The property is surrounded by farmland, vineyards and groves.

  • Due to limited transportation in outlying and rural areas, a rental car is essential for stays at countryside villas in Italy. We are more than happy to arrange a car for you during your stay, please just let us know at time of booking.
  • Please note that Italy villas rent from Saturday to Saturday. Exceptions may be possible on a case by case basis and upon request.
  • The Italian government has implemented a Visitor’s Tax of €1.50 per person per day and applies to all overnight stays for the first seven days in the destination. This tax is payable to the local property manager.
