Villa Clara Tuscany

Villa Clara is a typical 18th Century Manor villa with its own small formal park and chapel, at the center of an estate with farmhouses where the farmers looking after the winery used to live.

Located at just 4km from Lucca, the villa’s position combines proximity to town with the peace and beauty of the surrounding countryside which is one of the most popular residential areas of the town of Lucca.

Villa Clara can accommodate groups of up to 20 people, with all bedrooms (except one) having their own bathroom. The owners have fully furnished it in an elegant style and have provided modern amenities, such as internet connection. The rental of the property, together with the one of Casa Rosa, located on the same estate, offers the possibility for larger groups, up to 32 guests, to vacation together. For smaller groups it is also possible to rent only a part of the house, accommodating up to 12 guests with 6 bedrooms. The helpful caretakers live on the estate in a separate apartment and are available to arrange cooking services for their guests.

Ground Floor: Huge dining room opening via French windows both onto the front and back garden; traditional Tuscan-style kitchen; billiard room; small sitting room.

First Floor: 2 double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom with shower only; double bedroom and twin bedroom sharing a bathroom (shower only); large sitting room.

Second Floor: 2 double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom (shower only); when rented for 20 people, 3 twin bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (1 shower only and 2 with bath and separate shower); double bedroom with en-suite bathromm (shower only) also included.

Tuscany Villa Notes

  • Due to limited transportation in outlying and rural areas, a rental car is essential for stays at countryside villas in Italy. We are more than happy to arrange a car for you during your stay, please just let us know at time of booking.
  • Please note that Italy villas rent from Saturday to Saturday. Exceptions may be possible on a case by case basis and upon request.
  • The Italian government has implemented a Visitor’s Tax of €1.50 per person per day and applies to all overnight stays for the first seven days in the destination. This tax is payable to the local property manager.

    AMAZING!!! Villa Clara is beautiful, homey, VERY clean ... great way to end our European vacation. We traveled to Paris for five days, then Rome for 5 days (tremendous amount of walking...) then ended our vacation at Villa Clara. The location in Lucca's green countryside was wonderful. Loved the gardens and pool - the pool being a must if traveling in the summertime as it was very hot and humid. We rented all 10 bedrooms (14 traveling in our family group and met up with friends making a total of 20 people). The villa was very clean with all modern amenities. The beds were of course "European" so they weren't soft and comfy - but weren't bad. There is no air conditioning but there were fans in every room. There are three floors, the upper rooms did get very warm. Anna was awesome and every friendly (doesn't speak any English though) - there were even welcome snacks upon our arrival! We did use the option of having dinner cooked for us one night - which was also amazing. It is close enough, however to visit Florence, Cinque Terra, Pisa and other cities for day trips - which we did take advantage of. You will need a rental car. We felt the price was good - especially when compared to hotels that don't have half as many amenities. We took advantage of having a kitchen, making a lot of our meals there and saving quite a bit of money. Our one week stay was very positive - we had no complaints whatsoever. Would definitely recommend this villa to couples or families who want a bit of a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the cities and are looking for a quiet relaxed atmosphere.
