This delightful little, 1 bedroom, independent house takes its name from a fresh water spring that flows a few meters from it (Sorgentina in Italian means little spring).

Situated at 470 meters in a soft valley dotted with vineyards and woodlands, Sorgentina is near the natural park of Monte Rufeno. The valley is at the convergence of three Italian regions: Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio, in an area that has preserved its agricultural status while remaining outside of the circuits of mass tourism. The entire area is of artistic and naturalistic interest. Such cities as Orvieto, Montepulciano, Pienza, Tuscania, Pitigliano, Sovana, Bolsena and its lake, all lesser undiscovered jewels, are within a few kms. Sorgentina is at 3 kms from Acquapendente with all shops, facilities and restaurants. At 3 kms is also the Cassia road that connects to Roma (135 kms), Siena (85 kms), and Firenze (150 kms).

Sorgentina is ideal for honeymooners and for those who want maximum privacy. Nearby chestnut and hazelnut woods with many wild flowers blooming throughout the summer and autumn are perfect for countryside walks. Sorgentina is reached by 1.2 kms of dirt track that is fairly good, but not advisable for low vehicles. The property itself measures 2000 sqm and is partially fenced in to afford maximum privacy. Access is through a gate that leads to the parking area.

Private entrance is from the spacious front lawn directly into the living/dining room with fireplace and kitchen corner that is fully equipped with gas range, gas oven and fridge. To the right, panoramic glass doors open out onto a natural terrace overlooking the countryside. A door on the left in the living room opens into the double bedroom. Through the bedroom is a wardrobe that provides access to the complete bathroom with bathtub (slanted roof). A door in the wardrobe opens into a sitting room with sofa and panoramic glass door to the outside.

The house is exquisitely furnished and offers mobile telephone and stereo (tape deck, tuner and compact disk reader). Abundant garden furniture is provided. There is a baby cot and heating is with gas stoves and it is included in the price together with wood for the fireplace that is provided by the owner. Minimum stay is two weeks. Single weeks will only be accepted at the owner's discretion.
