Set high on a hill, the views of the entire Umbrian Valley are breathtaking! Enjoy stunning sunsets from the patio overlooking the gorgeous infinity pool and surrounding olive groves. Dining al fresco will be the most memorable Umbrian experience with two wood burning ovens – one for pizza and the other for cooking grilled meats.

The restored farmhouse is incredibly comfortable and very livable. It is ideal for a vacation or a longer stay. The furnishings are all of European designs, high-end quality and the house can sleep up to 6 people.

The house is a heartbeat from the center of Assisi, known for its two Medieval castles, beautiful churches, works of art, culture and festivals. There are many shops, cafés, and restaurants that boast the local Umbrian cuisine comprised of basic ingredients: olive oil, among the best in Italy, boar, lamb, hard wheat pasta of the finest quality and the precious black truffles from Norcia.

Perugia, known for its University and chocolate, Spoleto, Todi, Orvieto, known for its wine, and other Medieval Umbrian hill towns are all nearby for delightful day trips.

Umbria Villa Notes

  • Due to limited transportation in outlying and rural areas, a rental car is essential for stays at countryside villas in Italy. We are more than happy to arrange a car for you during your stay, please just let us know at time of booking.
  • Please note that Italy villas rent from Saturday to Saturday. Exceptions may be possible on a case by case basis and upon request.
  • The Italian government has implemented a Visitor’s Tax of €1.50 per person per day and applies to all overnight stays for the first seven days in the destination. This tax is payable to the local property manager.

    Villa was on a mountain side with a fabulous view. It was new but "built to look old". We are totally satisfied with this villa - new appliances, super clean infinity pool, quality linens, comfortable bed, great showers and very clean. The villa manager's service and attention to our needs exceeded all expectations. If we ever go back to Italy we will stay here.

    We stayed at Villa Margherita from 21/8 to 4/9 and had a wonderful holiday with our 6 and 3 year old daughters. Specifically ; * Location : 10minutes either way to both Spello and Assisi, both of which offer magical architecture, wonderful Cathedrals/Basilica and great restaurants - Tripadvisor was our trusty guide for this ! * Appliances : The Cooking facilities are a Chef's dream, with top of the range Miele appliances and the amazing pizza oven where you can cook your own wood fired pizzas - there's nothing better. Also a dishwasher was a bonus and this was used every day. * Wi-Fi : We did not realise the Villa had Wi-Fi and this was fantastic as we could skype friends and family and search out the next tourist gem in Umbria ! * Garden : Great pool which our daughters loved and a nice herb garden with Rosemary, Sage, Chives, Thyme and Basil all at your disposal. * At the end of the day : The sunsets down the valley towards Assisi were magical during our stay and the wonderful night-time lighting really added to the romance of being in Italy and enjoying good food and wine. A sensational holiday, in a wonderful villa. Highly recommended, it was just perfect !
