The U.S. Virgin Islands offer up some of the most scenic and beautiful sights in the world, prompting many vacationers to rent luxury villas in the Caribbean paradise year round. If you're hoping to head to the island chain to beat those winter woes, you may be happy to hear that JetBlue has launched a new route to the region that is sure to provide a comfortable path to the Caribbean.

Operating five days per week, the airline is now running nonstop flights between Boston, Massachusetts, and the island of St. Thomas. Coincidentally, the company also announced the launch of twice-daily flights from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to St. Thomas and a daily trip from San Juan to St. Croix.

These new routes coincide with a five-year tourism plan launched by the U.S. Virgin Islands' Board of Tourism, which will see the revamping of many local attractions, several public meetings and the creation of a new smartphone app for visitors to the area.

With plenty of options to reach the islands, vacationers may want to invest in villas in the Caribbean to get the most out of their warm weather excursion.
