Medea was perfect. The location couldn't have been better...right between the Ponte Vecchio and the Ufizzi Gallery on a small side street. The furnishings were lovely, beds were comfortable, very nice bathrooms, great kitchen. Lovely staff, who came and served breakfast and did morning cleaning, they made our dinner reservations for us as well.
Wifi, ipod dock, umbrellas, bottled water, city guides...could not think of anything that they missed.

We had a wonderful stay in Florence. The Medea is truly a special place. Really!! The building itself is a piece of artwork. No joke. Such history. It is a former palace from one of Florence's first mayors. The building is still owned by a variety of family members today. The building was bombed during WW2, but lovingly restored with salvaged materials. We enjoyed learning of the history. The apartment was very well equipped and we enjoyed every inch of it. It was hot and I was so pleased that the AC was so efficient. The communication between us and the property manager Ilda was also very good. She was great. The outside terrace is fantastic! Also, the property manager did a lovely job at stocking the pantry with several items which was very much a surprise and appreciated. She even had the housekeeper daily restock olive oil and coffee as needed. - Kim W.
