Overview

Constructed using Western red cedar logs, the five bedroom estate offers a feeling of seclusion with sweeping views and a private sledding hill in the backyard. High ceilings with towering beams, floor-to-ceiling windows, multiple private decks and wood-burning fireplaces evoke a classic alpine lodge, while radiant heat, DirecTV and a bubbling hot tub add modern comforts.

In the open-concept living area, a wrap-around leather sofa and armchairs frame a two-story, stone fireplace and large-screen TV for cozy nights after a day of mountain adventures. Through an arched log doorway, a formal dining table seats eight guests for dinner with mountain views. Four stools at the kitchen breakfast bar allow for a separate “kids’ table.” The fully equipped kitchen provides everything you need for home-cooked meals.

Sliding glass doors open the dining area onto an expansive deck overlooking the Spanish Peaks. A table and chairs allow for al fresco dining on blue-bird days, while lounge chairs and a private hot tub add relaxation. Stretching the length of the home, the deck also has entrances from the living area and master bedroom.

Each of the home’s five bedroom suites offers mountain or woodland views through big picture windows and cozy amenities.

Guests of the lower level also have a separate family room with a comfy sofa and lounge chair, wood-burning fireplace, pool table, and entrance to a broad, covered patio. A private laundry room adds convenience. Outside, the gently sloping backyard becomes a kid-friendly sledding hill in the winter and grassy playground in the summer. A two-car garage makes it easy to enjoy even more of the surrounding area, between nearby hiking and biking trails, fly-fishing streams, lakes, golf courses, and entertainment at Big Sky’s Town Center.
