What is your personal favorite thing about visiting Turks and Caicos?
Steve: I love the incredible beaches of white, powdery sand, and the absolutely gorgeous crystal-clear waters.
Rachel: The beaches are breathtaking.

What makes this destination different from other places in the Caribbean?
Steve:
It has the combination of everything — amazing beaches and water and a wide array of water activities, an amazing reef that runs through Grace Bay, a wide selection of villas, from the best value to the best all-around villas in the Caribbean, a wonderful assortment of gourmet and casual restaurants to fit anyone’s taste or budget, and finally, amazing villa staffs. Many of our villas come fully staffed with the most incredible chefs and service-oriented butlers to take care of your every need.
Rachel: It doesn’t feel as busy as other Caribbean islands. It felt more upscale and private. It’s a beautiful island.

Hawksbill is an expansive 10-bedroom, 10-bathroom beachfront property located in Grace Bay, Providenciales.

What’s one of your favorite villas and why?
Steve: I love Hawksbill. It’s on one of the most amazing stretches of beach in Grace Bay — I’ve even seem dolphins from my lounge chair! I like that you can rent it as a 6-, 8-, or 10-bedroom estate, and that it has everything you need for an amazing vacation (along with an incredible staff, of course).
Rachel: Hawksbill was stunning. The villa felt like its own resort. It’s a beachfront property with a unique outdoor living area that really makes you feel like you’re in paradise. The views are unforgettable!

What have been some of the most popular Turks and Caicos villas this year?
Steve: Hawksbill, Coral House, AWA, Amazing Grace, the Villas at Windsong (especially the 1- and 2-bedroom villas), Triton, and, of course, the Villas at the Grace Bay Resort.
Rachel: Windsong, Private Residences by Grace Bay Club, Bright Idea, Alizee, and Reef Tides.

Amazing Grace is a clasically designed 5-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom beachfront villa located in Grace Bay, Providenciales.

Do you need a car during a Turks and Caicos villa stay?
Steve: I would recommend it, but it really depends on the individual. If you want to stay at your villa and just enjoy your chef and your location, then you should be OK without one, but if you want to explore the island, and experience as many of the fine dining establishments as possible, then a car is the best way around — but they drive on the left side of the road, so if that is not ideal for you, then private drivers or taxis can be arranged.
Rachel: Yes, if you plan on dining at restaurants or visiting different parts of the island, but keep in mind that they drive on the left hand side of the road. There are taxis available, but they can be pricey. Also, some resorts offer complimentary bicycles to use. Talk to one of our concierge agents to determine if renting a car or using a taxi is a better option for you.

What local food should I try?
Steve: Honestly whatever your taste is, that’s what you should try. I love fish so the more fish, the better!
Rachel: Seafood! If you’re staying in a villa, I highly recommend private chef services.

Do you have any restaurant recommendations?
Steve: My favorite is Le Bouchon du Village. Seven and Coco Bistro are also well-known and have great reputations. But keep in mind — reservations are a must at all restaurants in high season!
Rachel: I recommend Seven — it was a high-end restaurant, and I really enjoyed the apps. Two other highly recommended restaurants are Coco Bistro & Mango Reef.

Coral House is a chic 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom beachfront estate with breathtaking ocean views, located in Grace Bay, Providenciales.

Are there any must-attend events?
Steve: The Caribbean Food & Wine Festival is my #1 choice — it’s a culinary delight and a must-attend!
Rachel: The Thursday night Island Fish Fry! Every Thursday night from 5:30–9:30 PM at the Bight (Children’s) Park, there are over a dozen local food vendors and entertainment.

What is one thing you recommend visitors do or see while here?
Steve: I would explore the reef — even if you’re not an avid diver, the beauty of the reef is just amazing!
Rachel: If I were to go back, I’d spend my time lounging on the beach, so you really can’t go wrong with massages spa services — anything to help you relax!
